Auburn was going to run the ball down Vanderbilt's throat and wasn't going to let the Commodores get a single yard for themselves, remember?
Rushing yards: Auburn 44 carries, 110 yards (2.5 avg.); Vanderbilt 32 carries, 106 yards (3.3 avg.)
Sacks: Auburn 1 sack for -10 yards; Vanderbilt 5 sacks for -32 yards (five different Commodores got sacks: Patrick Benoist, Ryan Hamilton, Myron Lewis, Brandon Stewart, Steven Stone)
Remember how Vanderbilt led the nations in penalties and Auburn was having some trouble in that department?
Penalties: Auburn 11 for 81 yards; Vanderbilt 5 for 37 yards. A pair of penalties in the third quarter took Auburn out of field goal range, which in the end cost the Tigers the game.
