It's no secret that Bobby Johnson likes to redshirt his freshman classes.
So far, only two freshmen have played this season and burned their first year of eligibility. That would be two defensive backs, Casey Hayward and Sean Richardson. Both are fluid, impressive athletes who are making a name for themselves on special teams. Richardson is the front-runner to start next season when Reshard Langford graduates.
Another freshman, wide receiver John Cole, played in the first game but was injured and should be able to redshirt.
Two freshmen defensive tackles, Rob Lohr and Colt Nichter, are listed as second team but have not seen action. With the lack of depth on the Commodore D-Line, one or both of those guys could be pressed into action.
Meanwhile, 16 other freshmen are getting bigger and stronger and ready for a second freshman year.

(1) We're loving your stuff at Star & Stripe, http://starandstripe.blogspot.com/ and
(2) We've added Moral Victory to our blogroll at S&S.
Feel free to add us, too!
Thanks, guys. Just figured out how to do a blogroll, and I added y'all to it.
Thanks for linking to my stuff so much. Naval Intelligence is a great feature.
