Well, Sylvester Croom certainly knows who he's playing this weekend. Here's how he described the Commodores in his weekly press conference:
• "They are ranked 13th this week and are playing very good football." Check.
• "They are not ranked very high in a lot of statistical categories in the conference, but they are doing what it takes to win." Check.
• "They are leading the conference right now in turnover margin and fewest penalties." Check. Check.
• "Even though they are not starting games well, they are finishing very well." Check.
Then he says this: "It is going to be a physical game that will go down to the last minute."
Let's hope not. You know what I'd like to see? I'd like to see us get a lead early, pile on the points, take the cowbells out of it, and then bring Larry Smith in to get some game experience.
But Croom's probably right.
