We now know that the receiver position is indeed a huge weakness. Larry Smith looked promising, the running backs and offensive line were much improved, the defense hung tough and special teams were much improved over last week.
But the wide receivers have looked bad. Cole, Ashley and Washington are short and the LSU DBs are tall. Udom Umoh has been AWOL. Oh, and where's Justin Green? You'd think a 6-6 wide receiver would have been an asset in this game.
We knew losing Terance Jeffers-Harris was big at the time. Now we know how big.

did think i saw one pass over 10 yds, FIRE TED CAIN . let's start a grass roots effort now. He is terrible.
FIRETEDCAIN.COM is a site started a few yrs ago. should get a lot more visits if we finish 117 in the country AGAIN. I am going to call Bobby on the call in show and probably make an @#$ of myself and ask him if he will keep Ted if we are in the bootom of the nation again.
Is it Ted Cain or Bobby that is holding us back? Obviosly, we have a good Defensive Coord.
I do think our offensive talent is behind our defensive talent. Our line and backs have been upgraded, and we've got a bunch of stud receivers coming to campus next year. I wanted to throw the ball more, but who were we going to throw it to?
What did we have tonight 210 yds. How can I not be pissed at someone after LSU gave up 480 to Washington. Are we ever going to have an O that can put up yds in the SEC. Last year d and spwcial teams kept us alive. I am discuraged.
Cain cannot catch the ball for them. We hold on to those drops, it's a far different game.
The other aspects of our offense looked much improved, overall.
I agree with you, VP. The running game and line look much improved, and Larry is an improvement at QB .
